Miss Weinel 4-5 Learning Support
About Me
My name is Emelia Weinel and I am from Apollo, PA. This is my 2nd year of teaching in special education. I love the outdoors and have a beagle at home whose name is Cash. I am also in the Army Reserves and have one year left of my 8 year obligation. I am so excited to be a part of such a close knit school district. Go Trojans!
Education
I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for my bachelors and masters degrees. I have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and a Masters Degree in Literacy. My certifications are Early Childhood PreK-4, Special Education PreK-8, and Reading Specialist K-12.
Work Experience
My first year of teaching was at Jeannette City School District. I was their K-6 Emotional Support Teacher and learned and worked with so many amazing teachers and administration. I closed that chapter and opened a new chapter this summer when I accepted a position as Derry's 4th-5th grade learning support teacher.
