Mr. Tom Esposito
Welcome to the Derry Area School District and Grandview Elementary School!
My twenty-four year teaching career has been rewarding in the Derry Area School District. I started my teaching career as an Elementary Physical Education & Aquatics teacher. For thirteen years, I taught Health & Physical Education in the Middle and High Schools. The past eleven years, I have had the pleasure of teaching Physical Education at Grandview Elementary School.
I am also the Safety Officer at Grandview Elementary School and a member of the Derry Area School District Emergency Management Team.
My 24 year basketball coaching career began as the Varsity Assistant Head Coach at Blairsville High School. Four years later, I landed my first Head Coach position at Homer-Center High School. After five years at Homer-Center, I was fortunate to begin my teaching career at Derry Area and a year later I became the Trojans Head Coach.
Upon graduation from Blairsville High, I continued my education and athletic career (baseball) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning my Bachelor of Science Degree in Health & Physical Education. I furthered my studies at Ohio University obtaining my Master of Science Degree in Athletic Administration.
