Shannon Shrum, k-2 School Counselor
Education
I earned my Bachelor Degree in Counseling Skills and Psychology at Toccoa Falls College, a small university in GA. I continued my education at Liberty University and earned my Masters in Education in School Counseling. I became a licensed school counselor and came to Grandview Elementary School as the kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade school counselor in 2018.
Work History
After graduating from college, I spent several years in the mental/behavioral health field working in wrap-around therapy as a TSS and Case Manager. I experienced working with children in both the home and school settings. After becoming a mother, I spent 7 years at home with my 3 amazing children. This work experience has contributed greatly to the school counselor that I am today! As I transitioned back into workplace, I found my niche working with elementary school students in the school setting. I pursued my school counseling degree and was hired here at Grandview in 2018. I have found a home here at Grandview and love working with our students, staff, and families!
