Education/Degree/Certifications

I graduated from Indiana University of PA in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I returned to Indiana University of PA to further my education and received a Reading Specialist Certification in 1992 and a Master's Degree in Reading Education in 1994.  I also received my Elementary Principal Certification from Saint Francis College in 1996.

Work Experience

I began my career with Derry Area School District in 1996 as a Middle School Reading Specialist for grades 6-8.  I taught in this position for 4 years before transferring to Grandview Elementary School to serve as a Reading Specialist for grades 3-5.  After 13 years in this position, I transferred into a fourth grade ELA position.  I have now been a fourth grade ELA classroom teacher since the 2013-2014 school year.
